I would like to start out by saying...why am I up at 8:30am on a Saturday when I have nothing to do today? Can someone please explain this to me? It's Saturday...I'm suppose to be sleeping in....what is wrong with me???

Anyway...Sorry to my lovely friends that it has taken me so long to post. I blame not owning a computer, or having internet access in my apartment, and just being busy. But please accept my apology... :-)

What's happened in the past few weeks.......

Jay and I celebrated our 3rd month anniversary last Friday (July 8th). He is so cute! He gave me the prettiest card and wrote the sweetest note in it! He constantly makes me feel so wonderful and loved. I know it's cheesy (well...my sister said it was cute...) but we gave each other gifts. I finally learned how to use the printer dock for my digital camera and printed out the cutest picture of us (from when we were both in Chicago) and framed it for him. If I knew how to post pictures...or e-mail pictures...or had the time to mess around with a computer at all...I would post it here. It's so cute! Anyway...he bought me the first season of Sienfield (b/c he remembered one time when we were at Target and I battled over whether to get it or not...) and a Simple Plan CD (the one with that drunk driver song on it...it's really good).

So question for people...is it high school that Jay and I exchange gifts for months anniversary? Did anyone else do that when they first started dated? I think it is so cute...but I don't want to be like I'm 15 again...

I had my first visitors over the 4th of July. Barry, Robb, Brian DuPont, and Robb's girlfriend Judilee visited me. We had a lot of fun. We went to the aquarium, Busch Gardens, a minor league baseball game... I enjoyed hanging out with them again. I forgot how much I laugh when I'm with those boys. Judilee is really nice too. Robb seems so happy and they seem like such a good fit. I'm really happy for them.

What else is going on....I spent the majority of my day at work yesterday making and printing out the cheesiest fliers. I googled "foster care" and found the most cliche images...all these sad kids and kids sitting on stairs and junk like that. They are so bad...but make the flier look okay. We ordered some more colored paper and when it comes in I'll print up more. My co-worker Anthony and I are going to go to Target and some grocery stores next week and put them on cars. I've been feeling a lot of pressure lately to open more homes...even though we currently have 22 homes, many of those homes we can't fully use (ie the family has a child they are going to adopt and that is the only reason they became foster parents in the first place and they don't want to foster another child). So, I've been feeling some pressure...but we'll see what happens with this flier thing. And...we are having an open house in September...so I have some thing going on.

So that's all that is really going on with me right now. I promise to post in a more timely fashion from now on!
